Tyler, TX – Con un ambiente de unidad y generosidad, se llevó a cabo el segundo evento anual de Love Thy City en el WT Brookshire Center de la ciudad de Tyler, donde miles de familias del Este de Texas recibieron apoyo esencial para el regreso a clases.
El evento ofreció una amplia gama de servicios gratuitos, incluyendo mochilas, bicicletas, abanicos, unidades de aire acondicionado y revisiones médicas, todos disponibles para quienes más lo necesitaban.
“Han hecho un excelente trabajo organizando este evento,” comentó una asistente. “Muchos de nosotros necesitamos esta ayuda y estamos muy agradecidos con la ciudad de Tyler por pensar en nosotros.”
Además de los recursos escolares, los asistentes recibieron cupones de comida para disfrutar sin costo alguno de una variedad de trailas de comida local, lo que también benefició a los negocios que participaron.
“Gracias a este evento podemos darnos a conocer con más personas y que prueben nuestra comida,” comentó un dueño de traila. “Es un evento muy bonito, 100% familiar, y también nos ayuda a generar empleos. Todo es local, y eso se agradece.”
Entre música, juegos, premios y mucha alegría, Love Thy City no solo benefició a las familias que asistieron, sino que fortaleció a toda la comunidad. Organizaciones como Mentoring Alliance, FUSIÓN y múltiples negocios locales se unieron con el objetivo común de apoyar a quienes más lo necesitan.
El evento continúa creciendo año con año, dejando en claro que cuando una comunidad se une, el impacto es verdadero y duradero.

Tyler, TX – The WT Brookshire Center was buzzing with energy and gratitude today as the second annual Love Thy City event successfully connected thousands of East Texas families with the resources they need for a strong start to the new school year.
Organized with the mission to serve and uplift the community, Love Thy City provided a wide range of free services and essentials. Attendees received backpacks, bicycles, fans, air conditioning units, and free medical checkups, all aimed at supporting families during the busy back-to-school season.
“They’ve done an amazing job organizing this event,” said one grateful participant. “There are so many of us who need this kind of help, and we truly appreciate what the City of Tyler is doing for our community.”
In addition to essential supplies, free meal vouchers were distributed, giving families the chance to enjoy a variety of dishes from local food trucks — at no cost. For many vendors, it was also an opportunity to showcase their food to new customers and highlight the spirit of local entrepreneurship.
“Events like this help us connect with the community,” shared one food truck owner. “It’s a beautiful, family-friendly environment, and we’re thankful to Love Thy City for the invitation. Not only do we gain exposure, but we help generate local jobs too.”
The event featured live music, games, raffles, and a family-friendly atmosphere that brought together non-profits, faith-based organizations like Mentoring Alliance and FUZION, and local businesses — all united in their mission to make a difference.
